    1. Purpose

    This Abuse Policy explains what constitutes abuse on the GA.NU platform, how abuse can be reported, and how GA.NU responds to abuse reports related to subdomains under the ga.nu domain.

    GA.NU is committed to maintaining a safe, lawful, and trustworthy environment for users and third parties while respecting due process and applicable laws.


    2. Scope

    This policy applies to:

    • All users of GA.NU
    • All subdomains registered under *.ga.nu
    • All services provided by GA.NU, including DNS management and custom nameserver delegation

    This policy supplements, and does not replace, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.


    3. Prohibited Activities

    The following activities are strictly prohibited and constitute abuse. This list is non-exhaustive.

    3.1 Fraud and Deception

    • Phishing or credential harvesting
    • Impersonation of individuals, companies, or services
    • Financial fraud or scams
    • Misleading or deceptive practices

    3.2 Malware and Security Threats

    • Distribution of malware, ransomware, spyware, or trojans
    • Command-and-control infrastructure
    • Exploit kits or unauthorized access tools
    • Activities intended to compromise systems or networks

    3.3 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

    • Unsolicited bulk email or messaging
    • Spam campaigns
    • Hosting infrastructure used primarily for spam delivery

    3.4 Intellectual Property Infringement

    • Copyright infringement
    • Trademark infringement
    • Circumvention of digital rights management

    3.5 Harassment and Harmful Content

    • Harassment, threats, or intimidation
    • Hate speech or discrimination
    • Content that promotes violence or illegal activities

    3.6 Illegal Content and Activities

    • Content that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
    • Facilitation of illegal transactions or services

    3.7 Infrastructure Abuse

    • DNS misuse or manipulation
    • Abuse of DNS records to evade detection
    • Excessive or automated activity that disrupts the platform
    • Circumventing safeguards, rate limits, or enforcement actions

    4. Reporting Abuse

    4.1 How to Report Abuse

    Abuse related to *.ga.nu subdomains can be reported through:

    • The GA.NU abuse reporting form
    • Email to the address specified on the GA.NU website

    Reports should include, where possible:

    • The affected subdomain
    • A description of the abusive activity
    • Supporting evidence (URLs, timestamps, logs, screenshots)

    4.2 Accuracy of Reports

    Reporters must ensure that information provided is accurate and submitted in good faith. Knowingly false or malicious reports may themselves constitute abuse.


    5. Review and Investigation

    GA.NU reviews abuse reports on a case-by-case basis.

    During an investigation, GA.NU may:

    • Analyze DNS configurations and traffic patterns
    • Review account activity and historical data
    • Request additional information from the reporter or user
    • Consult third-party intelligence or legal guidance

    GA.NU does not guarantee a specific response time.


    6. Enforcement Actions

    Depending on severity, risk, and legal requirements, GA.NU may take one or more of the following actions:

    • Temporary suspension of DNS records
    • Immediate DNS “lockdown” or redirection
    • Suspension or termination of a subdomain
    • Suspension or termination of a user account
    • Removal of content or services
    • Cooperation with law enforcement or rights holders

    Enforcement actions may be taken with or without prior notice, particularly where immediate action is required to prevent harm.


    7. Appeals

    Affected users may contact GA.NU to appeal enforcement actions by providing additional context or evidence.

    GA.NU reserves the right to uphold, modify, or reverse actions at its discretion.


    8. Custom Nameserver Delegation

    If a subdomain is delegated to custom nameservers:

    • The registrant remains responsible for abuse originating from that subdomain
    • GA.NU may still take action at the delegation level, including removing NS records
    • Delegation does not exempt users from this Abuse Policy

    9. Cooperation with Authorities

    GA.NU may cooperate with:

    • Law enforcement agencies
    • Regulatory authorities
    • Intellectual property rights holders

    Such cooperation may include disclosure of relevant information as required by law.


    10. Limitation of Liability

    GA.NU is not liable for damages resulting from enforcement actions taken in good faith under this Abuse Policy.


    11. Changes to This Policy

    GA.NU may update this Abuse Policy from time to time.

    Changes become effective when posted. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
