    1. Introduction and Acceptance

    These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GA.NU website, services, applications, and related features (collectively, the “Services”), operated by GA.NU (“GA.NU”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

    By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, registering a subdomain, managing DNS records, or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

    If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

    2. Description of the Services

    GA.NU provides:

    • Registration of subdomains under the ga.nu domain
    • DNS management for registered subdomains using GA.NU infrastructure
    • Optional delegation of subdomains to custom nameservers
    • Account management, billing, and renewals
    • Abuse reporting and enforcement mechanisms
    • Documentation, helpdesk, and AI-assisted support features

    GA.NU is not a domain registry and does not provide ownership of top-level domains. Registrations are limited to subdomain usage rights as described in these Terms.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.

    You may not use the Services if:

    • You are prohibited from doing so by applicable law
    • You have previously been suspended or terminated by GA.NU
    • Your use would violate these Terms or applicable regulations

    4. Accounts and Authentication

    4.1 Account Creation

    You must create an account to register and manage subdomains. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

    4.2 Account Security

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.

    GA.NU is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account.

    5. Subdomain Registration

    5.1 Nature of Registration

    Registering a subdomain under GA.NU grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that subdomain for the registration period, subject to these Terms.

    No property rights or ownership interests are conveyed.

    5.2 Registration Rules

    You agree that:

    • One-character labels are not permitted
    • Certain labels are permanently reserved and cannot be registered
    • GA.NU may add, remove, or modify reserved labels at any time
    • Registration availability is determined solely by GA.NU

    GA.NU may refuse or revoke registrations at its discretion for legal, technical, or policy reasons.

    6. DNS Services

    6.1 GA.NU DNS

    By default, registered subdomains use GA.NU-managed DNS infrastructure. You may create and manage DNS records within the limits of the Services.

    You are responsible for ensuring DNS configurations you apply are correct and lawful.

    6.2 Custom Nameserver Delegation

    GA.NU may allow you to delegate your subdomain to custom nameservers.

    When delegation is enabled:

    • GA.NU DNS management for that subdomain is disabled
    • GA.NU is not responsible for DNS availability, correctness, or security
    • You assume full responsibility for DNS operation

    Switching back to GA.NU DNS may require re-adding DNS records.

    7. Fees, Billing, and Renewals

    7.1 Fees

    Subdomain registrations are billed annually. Pricing depends on subdomain length and is displayed before purchase.

    7.2 Payments

    Payments are processed via third-party providers (such as Stripe). GA.NU does not store full payment card details.

    7.3 Renewals

    Registrations renew automatically unless auto-renew is disabled prior to the renewal date.

    Failure to renew may result in suspension or deletion of the subdomain.

    7.4 Refunds

    Except where required by law, all fees are non-refundable.

    8. Acceptable Use Policy

    You may not use the Services for unlawful or harmful activities, including:

    • Phishing, fraud, scams, or impersonation
    • Malware or exploit distribution
    • Copyright or trademark infringement
    • Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
    • Harassment, hate speech, or illegal content
    • Circumventing security or access controls

    9. Abuse Reports and Enforcement

    9.1 Abuse Reporting

    Anyone may report abuse related to a *.ga.nu subdomain through GA.NU’s reporting tools.

    9.2 Enforcement Actions

    GA.NU may, at its discretion:

    • Suspend or disable DNS records
    • Lock or suspend a subdomain
    • Terminate an account
    • Cooperate with law enforcement or rights holders

    10. AI Features and Automated Support

    GA.NU may offer AI-powered features such as automated help articles and AI chat support.

    AI outputs:

    • Are provided “as is”
    • May be incomplete or inaccurate
    • Do not constitute legal, technical, or professional advice

    GA.NU is not liable for actions taken based on AI-generated responses.

    11. Intellectual Property

    11.1 GA.NU Intellectual Property

    All software, content, trademarks, and designs provided by GA.NU are owned by or licensed to GA.NU.

    You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the Services except as expressly permitted.

    11.2 User Content

    You retain ownership of content you submit but grant GA.NU a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use it as necessary to operate the Services.

    12. Privacy

    Your use of the Services is subject to the GA.NU Privacy Policy.

    13. Service Availability and Changes

    GA.NU does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Services.

    We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

    14. Disclaimers

    The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.

    15. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, GA.NU shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

    GA.NU’s total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

    16. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GA.NU from claims, damages, or losses arising from:

    • Your use of the Services
    • Your violation of these Terms
    • Content or activity associated with your subdomain

    17. Termination

    You may terminate your account at any time.

    GA.NU may suspend or terminate access immediately if:

    • You violate these Terms
    • Your use poses risk to GA.NU or others
    • Required by law or regulation

    18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    These Terms are governed by the laws of [INSERT JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law principles.

    19. Changes to These Terms

    GA.NU may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
