Billing & Renewals
This guide explains how billing works for your GA.NU domains.
Pricing Structure
Domain pricing is based on the length of your subdomain:
| Domain Length | Annual Price |
|---|---|
| 2 characters | $349/year |
| 3 characters | $129/year |
| 4+ characters | $9.99/year |
Single-character domains are not available for registration.
Payment Methods
We accept:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- Some regional payment methods via Stripe
All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Billing Cycle
- Domains are billed annually
- Your billing cycle starts on the date you first register the domain
- Renewal is due on the same date each year
Auto-Renewal
By default, domains are set to auto-renew. This means:
- We'll charge your payment method on file before expiration
- You'll receive email reminders before renewal
- Your domain continues working without interruption
You can turn off auto-renewal in your domain settings if you prefer to renew manually.
Manual Renewal
If auto-renewal is disabled:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Find the domain
- Click to renew before the expiration date
- Complete the payment
What Happens When a Domain Expires?
If payment fails or you don't renew:
- Grace period β Brief window to renew without losing the domain
- Suspension β Domain stops working
- Release β Domain becomes available for others to register
We recommend keeping auto-renewal enabled to avoid losing your domain.
Cancellations
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time. Your domain will remain active until the current billing period ends.
We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time, but you'll continue to have access to your domain for the full year you've paid for.
